Low-traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs) have been in operation in the local area for some time now, with varying degrees of success.
The purpose of this scheme was to close off specific roads to through traffic and guide traffic onto main roads such as the area around St Patrick’s Cemetery.
This scheme has created more bottlenecks and dead-ends in the local road network, contributing to higher levels of congestion on our main roads.
We would like to know your views on them and whether they have been successful in your area.
Would you like to see more LTNs? Other roads in your area brought into them? Have an existing road removed from an LTN? or do you think the ones in place are just right for the needs of your local area?
